Zelda Wii U Easter egg discovered in Twilight Princess HD

first_imgWhen players get their hands on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for the Wii U this Friday, they’ll be able to find some Zelda Wii U Easter eggs in the game. The existence of these Easter eggs was discovered by YouTuber HMK who received an early review copy of Twilight Princess HD from Nintendo. While inside of Chudley’s Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium, which is located within Castle Town, he noticed that the walls and counters had framed paintings of Zelda Wii U art.The paintings are based on art for the game which Nintendo released years ago. One of the paintings is of Link riding his horse Epona, which was the very first piece of art ever released for the game. Another frame shows a field where Link does battle with a giant monster. There are even smaller frames on the shop counter which also have these images on them.Zelda Wii U is slated to be released later this year. If a rumor we reported on yesterday turns out to be true, then it’s possible that this game will be available on both the Wii U and Nintendo’s next system, the NX, this holiday season.Twilight Princess HD will feature updated graphics, Gamepad functionality, and new in-game items. The game will support the Wolf Link amiibo which can be used to unlock a brand-new dungeon made specifically for this HD remaster. Other amiibos such as Link, Toon Link, Zelda, and Shiek, can be used to replenish arrows and health. Progress saved to amiibos can be used in the upcoming Zelda game, though it is still unclear how the saved game can be used for the new game.last_img
